Good fucking tacos. High price though. Got three tacos and a drink and it ended up being around $25. Not sure how that happened.
Reminded me of Carnitas Ramirez, which coincidentally is just a few blocks up.

I think this is a chain place but I don't care.
It's pretty good. Cheap.
Chicken was seasoned well. Burger was ok. Fries were good.

Also got the chocolate souffle thing. It was alright. Not my favorite.

I was headed to Kisa to try it out for the first time, but it was too crowded, so I said let me try this place instead.
Can't go wrong with Korean fucking fried chicken.
Piping hot, crispy, juicy, whoa mama.
If you want to get half and half, they charge you an extra dollar. I didn’t even know that was an option. You live, you learn.
You also have to pay extra for a side of radish cubes. I think this is typically given for free, but this place is running a tight ship. Again, would have been nice if I knew this. I don't mind paying extra, but I just assumed it came with the chicken.

Went here on a weekday night. Mostly empty.
They have a $20 special where you pick a soup, a side, and a drink. I got the original bone broth, chicken wings, and a lychee drink.
Bone broth was extremely hot. Burned my tongue bad. It was OK. Not too much flavor, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be, I've never had bone broth soup before.
Chicken wings were good. Drink was also good, very light flavor. Refreshing.
They have a big train statue in the back of the restaurant. I asked one of the servers what it is and why they have it, but she explained it all in Chinese and I didn't understand a lick of what she said. I just gave her a few "dui-dui-dui" and walked out.

Was excited for this place.
I got the famous burger that everyone talks about with the bacon, of course. I don’t remember if I did the egg or not. Maybe they slipped one on there, I don't remember. Not sure I would even be able to tell in the heat of things. Fog of war. I’m not really an egg-on-a-burger guy. I just don’t think it's right. Cheese bacon lettuce tomato onion ketchup, that's it. But anyway.
Burger was pretty good, but it didn't knock my socks off or anything.
Also got some kind of steak. It was okay. Pretty good, I guess.
Got a few other things too, but I don’t really remember. It was all good.

Interesting place which is located in a store which was previously a Chinese printing company. There's no signs that say "Kiki's" on it, because they have all the old signs up.
Everytime I pass by this place on the weekend it's packed. I like Greece, and I like Greek food. So I said let me try it out.
Nothing special. Got a few things. Greek salad was nothing special. Calamari was also nothing special. Not bad by any means, but just average. Baklava was not in the typical slice format, it was in rolls. Too hard. Not good.
Don't understand why it's always packed. Maybe the allure of it being kind of a "secret" place. Maybe it's a toktik thing.
Maybe one day I will find a good Greek place in this God-forsaken city.

Inside the Essex Market. I think it's like a Thai burger place.
I went here once and had an amazing burger. I got the BBQ one. Sweet BBQ, a little kick from the jalapenos, fatty, salty - excellent. Just the right balance. Fries were also pretty good. Very crispy.
Went another time and it wasn't nearly as good as the first time. Just OK.

Nothing like a little Chinese BBQ. Just follow the smell of sweet serenity as you exit the B/D station to find it.
Give the man a few peanut skins, relax for five minutes, and enjoy.
It's nothing crazy, but it's a quick tasty snack (or meal).

Just opened. A billion 5 star reviews on google. All from accounts with only a few reviews.
I take the bait.
Terrible. Probably one of the worst meals I've had. Calamari that was like fried rubber bands. Burger that smelled like rotten meat, and tasted like it as well.
Feel bad because the people running the place were nice, but hey, that's life in the big city baby.

Place opened recently, I think around January, and always has 500 toktik party kids with the scoobydoo haircuts. It's finally started to cool off a bit so I figured I would give it a shot.
No line, waited 15 minutes for the order to come out. No counter space to eat so I went to the park. Asked someone what the deal was and why this place has been so hot, and they said it's owned by some actor "Brandy Copper". Never heard of him, so he must not be that famous.
Very good PCS.
It's an upscale version of a traditional PCS. The bread - If you take a quick glance at it you might mistake it for a semolina, but it's not nearly as thick and it's a bit tougher than semolina. The exterior is also browner. I have no idea what kind of bread it is.
The cheese is also upscaled, but like the bread, it's also an enigma. It's not cheese wiz, provolone, cheddar, or american. Maybe a mix? Only God and Mr.Copper know.
There was also one of those shitty street fairs going on around the block and I did a little bang bang and got zeppoles after. Obviously made splat monkey on the turlet when I got home.
Rating - very good
Edit - Went back a week later because it was so good. It was raining out and there was no counter space again to eat inside.
So I ate it outside on a park bench in the rain. The bread was getting soggy, it was becoming luke warm, but it was still great.

Really interesting place under a Ukrainian church or something. It's in the basement behind a door with essentially no signage. You would never know it's there.
Saying this, I hated the food.
I got the pierogi and some beef patty or crepe thing and I couldn't finish either one. If that wasn't bad enough, I immediately had to run back to my apartment right after finishing to make my own beef patty explosion on the turlet.
Brutal.

I don’t think I've ever had a dosa before, but this was good.
It was 20 degrees out and I’m eating this thing outside, and somehow it stayed piping hot the entire time. I don’t know how that’s possible. Maybe some kind of radiation, but it was good. Spicy, hot.

Got a sandwich and a cinnamon roll.
It was ok. The bread should have been better and the roll was a little stale.

Passed by this place one night and thought it looked interesting. It had a few people inside. I had never noticed it before. Turns out they had just opened a few days(?) before, so that's why.
I was hungry. Just ate a gross sesame ball, and needed something to wash away the bad taste.
Get a regular slice and a coke.
Blown away. Maybe it's because of how hungry I was, or because I had no expectations. Cheese heavy (good), thin crispy crust, nice sauce. Guy with glasses behind the counter asked me how it was. Seems like it's just two lads running the show.
Went back a few weeks later for lunch. Very busy. Big line. Very different from the first time I was there. Got the white slice this time. It was alright. The regular slice wasn't as good either. Not sure if the quality dropped because they were busy.
Go back a few weeks/months later to do a check up. Line out the door. No more slices, only pies. Walked away. Wild.

I had the corn fritter and lobster noodle. The corn fritter had no flavor, the lobster noodle was completely overpowered by pepper. The lobster was tough.
