Fufu tea/dessert place. Line out the door on the weekends. Menu is hand written on pieces of brown paper or some kind of ancient Egyptian mummy paper.

Not my kind of spot, but I made it a mission to try this place because I lived close by for a while. I was always afraid to go in though. Wasn't sure if they would let an animal like me in.

Got some oobong tea and the sweet potato with the caramelized top and a scoop of iced-cream. That was the appetizer. For the main course I got a slice of cheesecake. I don't remember which flavor, all I remember is that it was grey with black dots in it. Maybe sesame. Only God knows.

It was alright. The tea was good. The sweet potato was a sweet potato. What can I fuckin say. It was pretty good. I didn't like the cheesecake. No flavor. It was like eating a block of cream cheese.

Rating - fufu

Nothing better than a fucking churro. Honestly these were a little too gooey for me, but it was alright.

Dominique Ansel Bakery

I got the famous cronut. Ordered it three years in advance. Eight trillion dollars.

I think the flavor of the month was grapefruit or something else citrusy.

The cronut itself was a little too hard for my liking. It wasn’t like a fluffy croissant, which is more what I was hoping for.

The other thing I didn’t like was the citrus cream or whatever was on top. It wasn’t soft at all. It was hard and kind of chalky, and biting into it felt like dragging my teeth across a chalkboard.

Didn’t like that.
